Traffic Controller (Stop / Slow Bat)- Blue Card

The NSW Roads & Traffic Authority (RTA) requires that a Traffic Controller must hold a current Traffic Controllers Photo Card. This course is designed for people wanting to control traffic around roads/construction sites (STOP / SLOW bat). On successful completion of the course a participant will be issued with a statement of completion by an RTA licenced trainer and receive a Traffic
Control Photo Card issued by the RTA generally within 28 days.
Course Duration:
- 7 Hours = 5 hours theory + 2 hours pracitical (not including breaks)
Pre-Requisites:
Participants must meet the following requirements before their intended course date in order to be eligible to commence the Training Course
- Adequate Literacy
- Hold a valid NSW WorkCover OHS Construction Induction Certificate** (Green Card) or equivalent ( Click here to enrol in a Green Card course)
- A NSW P2 Drivers Licence or equivalent or higher OR a NSW Traffic Controller Photo Card (which has expired within the last two years)
**Note that participants who do not hold the NSW WorkCover Construction Induction Certificate at the commencement of training will only be eligible to receive a Traffic Controller- Non Construction Grey Photo Card
Course Content:
On completion of the training, participants will be able to:
- Understand the role of a Traffic Controller
- Apply the procedures of traffic controlling within a worksite
- Operate a 2-way radio correctly
- Promote the role of a traffic controller in the community
